Tall teacup with slip-lines and shino & ash glazes; Wood-fired, approx. 4.25” ht.

I threw these tall teacups using a stoneware clay to take advantage of the wood firing effects. In this case, I first applied a layer of white slip to the exterior of the cups when leather hard to make the slip-line pattern. After bisquing, I then glazed the cups with thin layers of shino and ash glazes, and this resulted in colors ranging from tan to orange on the outside of the cups.

Slight variations in shape and color are inevitable. Please understand that shipped pieces will look similar to the photo, never exactly the same.
