Skyline Kiln, the wood-fired kiln at Pincus Pottery Studio

Pincus Pottery Studio is located in the hills just north of Portland, Oregon. A quiet and green place with a wide vista, this is a good spot to make and fire pots.

The studio building, sized at just under 500 sq. feet, was built in 1990 in Aloha, OR, by local carpenter Harlan Grimwood with my help in design and construction. The design attempted to take advantage of the beauty of natural wood, and some of the posts & beams were left exposed. In 2001, I relocated Pincus Pottery Studio, moving the studio building to a more permanent site in the Skyline Ridge area of Portland.
